1. Tri-State Mountain Tour

This highly scenic route actually covers three different states, including Virginia and Tennessee. You have 169 miles of lovely mountain road to ride and if you turn on Route 25E, you can take a break in Middlesboro, KY. There are enough roadside amenities along this route to ensure you can make quick pit stops and grab a bite to eat when you get peckish. It’s ideal for bikers who want to enjoy a long ride without any hassles!

2. Rabbit Hash Route

Located in northern Kentucky, the Rabbit Hash Route is a 45-mile long loop. This road passes through many cities so you won’t be short of options to rest, fuel up and eat. You turn left at East Bend Road and head onto Beaver Road, which finally intersects with U.S. 42W. Get onto that and you’ll soon be on Verona-Mudlick Road. From there you go to Mary Grubbs Highway and then Frogtown Road, turning finally onto U.S. Route 127 to finish the loop!

3. Route 32

Starting at Moorehead and ending in Louisa, Route 32 seems like it was made for motorcycle enthusiasts. The 65-mile long road has gorgeous vistas along the way, including rolling farmlands and winding hill roads. At Newfoundland, Route 32 merges with Route 7 and goes that way till Sandy Hook, where the two roads go their separate ways. While there are enough food stops and gas stations along this route, there are several long stretches without access to these amenities, so plan ahead.

4. Russell Cave Road

Unlike the routes we’ve mentioned above, Russell Cave Road is a much shorter ride at just 23 miles. This also means that you won’t get a wide variety of scenes and will be passing through mostly farmland areas when riding your motorcycle here. What it might lack in variety, it makes up for by being a very peaceful and serene route. This road is named after a famous Lexington landmark - Russell Cave. Though there aren’t too many stops here, it’s short range means that’s not too big a problem.

5. Route 10

If you like the idea of picturesque countrysides but want a longer road than Russell Cave, you might prefer Route 10. It doesn't pass through rural areas like the previous road, but you will nevertheless get to gaze upon rows of cornfields and enjoy the feeling of being out in nature while riding your iron horse! This 49-mile long route is also more amenity-laden than Russell Cave Road and you’ll have more pit stop options along the way.

6. Nada Tunnel Route

Located off of Route 77, the Nada Tunnel is a 900-foot long tunnel that delivers a very different motorcycle riding experience than the other roads on this list. This route begins at Stanton before heading into the Nada Tunnel and finally emerges at Sky Bridge Road. Here you can stop at Red River Gorge and check out the Kentucky landscape while standing atop the towering canyons. This route ends at Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway in Pine Ridge, and is a relatively short ride at just 25 miles!
